General objectives :

To produce a qualified optometrist who can safely prescribe and manage contact lens patients.

Specific objectives:

Beside primary eye health care and prevention, diagnosis, management, treatment and rehabitation of the eye and visual system problems, the student should be able to:

1. Treat defects of vision with contact lenses.

2. Fit contact lenses for different purposes.

3. Recognize the quality of all types and materials of contact lenses.
