About Department

The Department of Biochemistry was established in 1998 as a division of the School of Life Sciences, which was transferred to the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences in 2001. The Department of Biochemistry has been restructured independently under the umbrella of the Faculty of Science and Technology - Biotechnology School 2003. With the implementation of the College's General Plan, Restructuring of Sections and Curriculum Development in 2009, the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology has become a curriculum that qualifies students to obtain a Bachelor of Honors degree. The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, with a period of five years divided into ten semesters, including the fundamentals of bioscience and keeping up with the new ones. The department teaches the biochemical bases related to various fields of biological sciences and their applications, To raise the student to a level that enables him to understand new biosciences and keep abreast of the developments and needs of the labor market. Fiften graduates have been graduated so far and joined several institutions in various fields related to Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. The Department also offers a curriculum that prepares students for master's degrees by corses and master's degrees by research and doctoral degrees by research for postgraduate students in the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology and biotechnology and its applications.
