About Department
This section is concerned with teaching the fundamentals of Nursing Fundamentals for the first and second semester students
The Department of Fundamentals of Nursing is considered one of the most important departments in the college, as it teaches and trains first-level students, basic principles and nursing skills, and the department includes 3 professors with the rank of lecturer, 2 lab technicians. They teach theoretical and practical aspects and supervise student research in the undergraduate and master's program.
The department specializes in teaching basic nursing skills for nursing students and other medical sciences such as medical laboratories, radiology, medicine, and others. The department has a basic skills laboratory that can train 150 students that includes an appropriate number of models and models to apply different nursing skills such as intramuscular injection, intravenous infusion control devices, cardiac pulmonary resuscitation and blood pressure measurement and a section for training obstetric and pediatric cases

Objective
1. Development of the nurses scientifically and practically to provide high quality of nursing care to individuals, families and communities.
2. Encouragement of self learning to meet the development and advances in nursing.
3. Increase the level of nursing services through preparation of care providers who has ability to assess the patient and put nursing diagnosis and solve the patient's problems on base of knowledge.
4. Prepare programs for continuous education and professional studies .
5. Co-operation and coordination with others nursing collages locally and internationally.
