About Department

The department specializes in teaching general skills and foundations in the field of community health, mental health, health management and epidemiology in addition to teaching basic principles in nursing education and geriatric nursing. The department includes 4 faculty members who teach and train students at all levels. The department includes 4 professors with the rank of Assistant Professor.

Objective

Knowledge :- 1) Identify principle of sound nursing practice in community. 2)Identify the role of personnel working in the community health Setup. 3)Describe nurse role in (MCH, family health ,occupational health, Accidence ,elderly ,disasters, handicapped ,schools and Mental health). Attitude: 1) Show competencies in providing family centered nursing Care independently. 2) Health education for local community in nice way. 3) Show respect to the local community. Skill: 1)Perform community health assessment and plan health Programmers. 2)Demonstrate leadership abilities in organizing community Health nursing services by using inter-sect oral and multidisciplinary approach. 3) Participate in the implementation of various national health and family welfare programmed. 4)Participate/Conduct research for new insights and innovative Solutions to health problems. 5)Apply medical assessment for school student
